Hi Alll,
I am in the final phase of restoring my 77 f250 and 77 Lance camper. I recently purchased a
set of courtesy lights on eBay that are supposed
to plug into the wiring harness. I can find the place on the harness to plug in to... all other "options" I have purchased and added had the right plugs in the right place... any suggestions other than cutting the wires going to the door plungers?
Thanks!
Dak
There should be a connector right up around the headlight switch area. I Think its a Green wire with a black Connector on it. There should be another Just to the left of the Glove box Kinda where the Glove box light would plug in. It should be a green one too If I remember corectly.
Hey,
Thanks for the response. The set I have is only "pluggable" into one side with a double plug and a single plug only 6-8" from each other. From that, the other light is on a single wire that reaches across the cab and would ground the fixture when you attach it to the metal under the dash.
I found the same color wires going into the body on the driver side but they go direct to the harness with no option to plug in. I will pull the glovebox and look there ...
The connector is a brown double plug right above the headlight and wiper switches. The factory underdash light harness plugs into each side of this. There's the two wires that connect the two plugs plus one more (black or a dark color) coming out of one side going to the left dash light. The wire to the right light runs out of the left light connector across the dash to the right one. Basically it's made so all trucks had the same connectors, but the trucks with the light option have this harness plugged inline.
The connector by the glove box is for the cigarette lighter, glove box light, and vanity mirror light.

Thanks guys! When I replaced the wiper switch with the variable speed one I seem to remember seeing something else there... I will look today again. Thanks again for the responses!
