Angry Ephedra Ban

This has now been banned, but tobacco is still legal, go figure.
I guess the goverment couldnt make money by taxing it so has to go! Cigs have been killing thousands of folks for yrs,but the money is much more important, what would the medical and insurance industry do without people dieing from tobacco related illnesses.

The entire push for a ban of ephedrine is coming from your major drug/pharmaceutical companies. They have been losing billions of dollars on perscription diet products due to ephedra.

The #1 reason for trips to the emergency room in the US is overdose of Tylenol but there's no bug rush to get rid of it. Sucks!

Are you serious about the Tylenol?

The number one reason for a trip to the emergency room is not Tylenol overdoses, its accidents.

I apologize for wording that poorly. I did not mean it like I wrote. For drug overdose/interactions emergency room trips Tylenol is the #1 culprit. I hope that makes more sense.

Come on now, leave us smoker alone.

We have already suffered enough consequences from non-smokers. We know what we are doing & choose to do it.

I don't think Daryl is saying to ban tobacco, just making a point that if a substance proven to be dangerous (tobacco) is legal then why ban ephedrine because of the few idiots who abuse it.

10-4, BUT, I do believe we pay higher insurance, even as non smokers to help cover medical bills incurred by smoking illnesses.
