here is the deal, my truck doesnt have these but i was wondering if they would help a problem i have noticed with my truck. when i am driving(very noticeable the higher the speed)and i hit a pot hole or a rough spot in the road(yea, missouri's dept of transportation is a waste of our tax dollars!)the truck really steers off to one side er the other. i was just wondering if this is cus i dont have the steering stabilizer? and would an after market set up do any good to help this prob. thanks.
Nathan!
I would say yes ,it would help
I have the one from the factory!Mine doesn't dart or bounce after hitting large bumps.crowned roads tend to make it want to wander alittle though!
I live here in NY.
I would say our roads are as bad or worse than where you are

Any kit from rancho, fabtech or skyjacker are good quality.
A single stabilizer should be sufficent, a double stabilizer is over kill and I have noticed that with the double, the steering wheel doesn't return to center as fast as a single. This is based on street driving and not hardcore off roading.
If you have Firestone Steeltex A/T tires they aren't the best handlers out there and could be some of your problem.I am disappointed with the way my 02 handles with them.
thanks fer the heads up yeti! i dont do any off roading(to nice of a truck!)to need a double stabilizer. and indeed i do have the firestone steeltex tires which will be replaced with some bfg at km's as soon as the firestones are wore out! i have never heard a bad thing about those tires and i like the way they wear. im gonna look into the steering stabilizers tomarrow to see what i can find.
