351w boggs when i stomp it

I just replaced the original 4-barrel on my 85 bronco with a 5.8HO with a holley truck avenger. Now, if i stomp on the gas the engine will bog down, sometimes to the point of dying if i dont let off the gas right away. Other than this problem, the motor runs great with the new carb and i have a lot more power. Any ideas would be appreciated.

is there a way to adjust the accelerator pump if there is that is your problem or you could also have a vaccuum leak and sucking unmetered air in somewhere

Disconnect the secondaries and try again (small c clip). They may be coming in too early and in need of a stiffer spring. If the problem goes away with them disconnected you just need to swap springs.

I would suspect the accelerator pump , try increasing the stroke also check your power valve if it has one.

Thanks for the replies. I bought a vaccum secondary spring assortment from holley, and i already installed the stiffest spring that was included in the kit. Ive checked for vaccum leaks already and did not find any. i have a feeling that it is, like said, the accelerator pump or a fuel delivery problem.
