Have a Mar 3 built dually and just changed the oil at 10,000mi. Ford did it at 5,000 and within one hour, got the warm start romp. Does it so infrequently and it has run perfectly from day one, knew it was the weight of oil. Have the early injectors so was nervous about the fuel in oil part. Mileage has been pretty good and just love the whole d..n truck so it isn't getting the emission flash, and hasn't had any flashes previously. Bought the thing 'cause I enjoy the quietness by the way! Wanted a 5/40 oil but seems to only come in synthetic. Bought 2 cases of the Chevron Delo 5/40 from a distributor. Not cheap but neither was the diesel option so to me, it's worth the few extra $. May I also say that the warm romps are gone, and the thing lights much faster when cold. Quieter.... hard to say. Now the report. Summarizing, "wear is dropping nicely, pot. and sodium from factory are washing out, low insolubles(good filtration), no moisture, coolant or FUEL present! Looks like I got one of the good early ones and I know there are tons out there. Just thought I'd post some good news for a change! Neil Blanchard

pophauler, that's great. I also got a March 03 build on the engine with 7500 miles on it got a good Blackstone report. Made the mistake of getting the Oct flash, now Dec. Still not where it was pre Oct. but still goes like a scalded dog.

Good to hear.
