Ok,2004 PSD 8000 miles,no problems yet! On Wed evening driving home from work,40 mile of traffic no problem.I stopped at home to p/u my son,I shut off the truck.Then drove 3 miles to town,stopped shut off truck about 10min.Now I head back home..this is the fun part! pls bare with me on the explanation.Im doing about 60 then the truck started going voom space voom space voom,like getting gas in intervals ,lets say like rev the gas and let go real quick over and over.Now when I hold the pedal real lite like acouple 100 rpm it was fine so I drove home that way.Now I had half tank of diesel w/anti gel in it..the outside temp was around 41 degrees BUT it was raining for the ientire trip work home and all..I didnt take the truck out yesterday,I was worried about breaking down,but I took it to work today 40 miles and so far no problems,Im scared about the way home tonight in rush hour..
thanks Tim. The smart box is Van aakens plug in module (there version of the edge box. It has stock/70hp/100hp settings in cab controlable..van akkens does race cars and volkswagons..But back to my truck,yes this was the first time this has happened.ps never been flashed..
ORIC----It is a great feeling to be scared to drive your $40,000 plus truck because of fear it might leave you stranded. I know just how you feel. Hopefully thing work out for the best.

Disconnet the after market box and battery, let it sit overnight.
Reconnect battery and go drive it.
You may have to have the after market box re-flashed.
