Programmer removal

my truck has a hypertech programmer in it installed by the origional owner. i want to remove it but the programmer was lost. does any one know how to remove it with out taking it to a dealership and paying them? any information would be helpful.

Any way to get ahold of the original owner?? If you could then you could download it and sell the tuner if you wanted to. Only other way is for a Dealer to re-flash the pcm.

I have the HyperTech PPIII and I have called them in reference to different things. Try going to their website: www.hypertech.com, they are helpful and may be able to give you some info.
