can any body tell the best place to find a 2100 ie year make and model of a donor truck or car. I like to scrounge in the wreckers and would like to put a 2 barrel on my 83 bronco I-6 also does any body know what the addapter plate looks like I would like to fab one and pics would be great. it is too cold up here to wheel so projects I can carry inside are about it. I thought maybe use a block of alluminum scribe the intake after grinding on one side and the bottom of the carb on the other side then grind it out to meet.(ya its a lot of grinding) but I need a project and it would be cool to do.
thanks
The 2100 and 2150 motorcraft carbs have always been crappers. But everyone has their own oppinion. But if you are looking for a donor try a 78 or 79 f150, they usually have the 400's with the two barrel. i would just go with a aftermarket two barrel or even buy the 4barrel intake out of jegs. It says itll give you 50 more horses. But you would have to get an aftermarket 4 barrel as well.
The 2150 Motorcraft 2V is a great carb. It's one of the few you can actually tune to a 300 and get very good results.
Strobe is correct the 2150 is on all the 351M & 400 it's the only carb Ford used on that engine. It can be either a car or truck to get the 2150 2V.
Look at Bubba's M-Block web page for plenty of 2150 info.
You can also find rebuilt 2150's on E-bay for about $100. One tip if you are going to put a 2150 on to a stock 300, you'll need to jet it down to about a #50 main jet.
