It seems that we all have had some problem (or soon will) with these 6.0 liters. It would be nice to have list of dealers that others have had good luck with so that when someone needs a dealer, they have clue of where to take it. Maybe we could post what state we are in and where we had good luck so maybe others can benefit. Oh yes, lets accentuate the positive here and not let this turn into a dealer bashing.
I am in Southeastern CT. and have good luck so far with the service dept. Valenti Ford in Mystic. In fact my truck is there now. They have had it for four days and haven't gotten to it yet, but they did tell me right up front when I dropped it off that it would be a week so it's OK. They were straight with me and I hear that their diesel tech is really good too.
I am in Oklahoma and the dealership I have had the best luck with is James Hodge Ford in Muskogee OK. They have a real good service department. When my truck has broken down at home they have always gotten it in and gotten it fixed pretty quick. I didn't even buy the truck from them (that was my 2nd big mistake.....1st being that I bought a 6.0L) and they have always taken real good care of me. They got a problem diagnosed in one day that another dealership couldn't figure out in over a week that they had the truck. Willie Keifer their service manager is wonderful, he will get you taken care of.
I deal with Orleans Ford-Mercury in Medina New York. I would say that almost half of their inventory is trucks ,and half or more are Diesels. I've dealt with the service manager for 15 years, and have yet to be dissapointed. They have more than one tech that is knowledgeable about Diesels and go out of their way to satisify customers. We once had a problem with a 95' F-250 7.3 DI and it ended up being a wiring harness, while not in stock and a 1 week wait for it to come in, the Service Manager canabolized a new truck on the lot to get us up and running again! Thats SERVICE.

And, if you are having such success with this dealer, why are you going to the press ?
I live in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania; this is a very rural part of the state. Everyone knows everyone and the men in Huston Fords Service Department will help you in anyway they can. Rob
