The Revo's may be better, I don't know. I had the regulars Dueler A/T's and loved them.

I replaced a set of H-rated Cross Terrains with AT Revo's. My '98 Expo EB has the 265/70-17 size, and my opinion is that the Revo is a much better tire.

There seems to be a Jekyll and Hyde approach to treadwear on the Cross Terrains as some owners report great mileage out of the tires and some report terrible mileage. I unfortunately fell under the latter. I got 21000 miles out of my set, with religious rotations at 5000 mile intervals, before they hit the wear bars. Yes, 21 thousand miles. Also, the Cross Terrain is a great three season tire, but very dangerous in the snow. Mud and Snow rated is a joke. They slid all over the place, frequently tripping the ABS, and that was in any kind of snow, slush, packed, fluffy, you name it. I felt so helpless with these that I bought an extra set of wheels with Bridgestone Winter Duelers for the Minnesota winters.

Since I've had the Revo's (about 6000 miles so far), I could not be happier. They handle just as well as the Michelin's, ride slightly firmer but not enough to really notice, and are only slightly noisier, again, not enough to notice. Remember, these are classified as an off-road all-terrain tire versus the Michelin highway all-season. They still look brand new and have lots of tread left. I will most certainly get more than 21000 miles from these.

My friend at work bought a new '04 Expo with the Contitrac's. He replaced them with the Revo's based on my experiences and is much happier now. He paid $130 apiece for the Revo's.

I took a chance and bought the Firestone Destination tires. With a price of $80 + s/h, and the fact that the Tire Rack's feedback on this tire has been great, I don't think I'm at risk of getting a bad tire. The Revo's just looked too aggressive for my wife's 2WD Expedition.

Just a footnote..........It will be a LONG time before I consider buying anything from the French (Michelin). Even though I got great service from the set of Michelins that were on her Expedition (62k), I feel that there are other tires that provide the same value or better value. The Michelins were going to cost $45-55 per tire more so after the final $$ is presented, the Michelins don't look so great after all.
