front hubs????

front hubs????

I have an 87 F-150 xlt larriet 4x4, I have worked on other f-150s before with 4x4 and the hubs had the 5 or 6 nuts on the hub to remove the cover, this one I have does not have the screws and the whole outside of the hub will come off after taking the tire off they are manuel locking hubs, I cannot find anything about this in any books I have. THIS SITE ROCKS!!!!!

Those were called flange type hubs if I recall, and were only used for one or two years.

alot of rangers in the late 80's and up to early 90s probably at least, had the flange style hubs. if you get or have a book for a ranger, they have decent diagrams for the parts on that setup assuming its built the same.
