85' Bronco question

Hi all,
Im thinking about putting a box in my bronco and an amp. Curretnly i have a Alpine head unit and have Pioneer 6x9's in the front.. The back are just cheap speakers but i have Sony Explods to replace them. How do i do it? Is it worth it? In the future i hope to swap the head unit ( AM/FM Cass. right now ) for a CD/MP3 AM/FM unit. Will this be really hard? How much am i talking? I was looking at Crutchfeilds website and they have non powered and powered subs. and they have bass tubes? Which would work best? I only want one sub because i dont want to take up the whole cargo area. Is there a way i can make them tempoary? Like when i go out hunting i can just unplug my box and amp and tale them out? If i can make it to where i can take it out. I might go with (2) subs. Thank you for your help.. I really have no clue about all this audio stuff.

whoa--ur going in alot of directions here
first decide what kind of sound ur looking for and then
go from there
If you have an aftermarket cass. deck intalled now -u should
be able to easily install a cd head unit--unless you are using one
of those ancient shaft style radios--then theres more work

You could easily mount a sub amplifier under a seat or on a
panel somewhere out of the way--and just have a single wire
connecting to a small sub box in your rear cargo area
From here you could just velcro or bungy cord the box in place--
making it simple to remove----keep in mind the more subs and
larger the enclosure the heavier it gets---something like a single
10 or 12 inch woofer in a small enclosure -is probably right up
your ally

If I were you--first I would get all my equipment together
that I plan to install--Then set aside a weekend and go to
town putting it all in.
So get ur new cd player\sub amplifier\sub woofer+enclosure\
amp wiring kit\speaker--if u plan to replace them

If you dont have your equipment yet-I would recommend shopping online--you will save alot of money
You also need to make sure your amplifier and sub(s) are
going to work together

Installation is not too difficult if you take your time and have patience--You will need tools like screw drivers\wire crimpers\
wire strippers\wrenchs+sockets\drill

Your ampflifier will need 12volt (+) from the battery\negative (-)
ground to the metal chasis---this will supply the power

next your head unit will supply the signal to your amp--via
a rca cable for music signal\and a single turn on wire-blue

Then you will connect your sub woofer to the amp with a speaker' wire
g/l
