Question Vent noise

First, just want to say what a great site this is. I check it often and have learned a lot. I have 2 quick questions. I have noticed lately that the dash/vents seems very loud, like there is a vacuum leak. I turn panel control to off and it still seems very loud. Like air is still flowing but you can’t feel it. It is louder at idle and quieter when I take off. Like the pressure is released. It is kind of hard to explain. I have noticed it the last few weeks, not sure if it has always been like this. Could there possibly be a vacuum leak? Any way to check? Or is this just the nature of the beast? 2nd, the other day I noticed, when I turned off the truck, there was a gargling noise coming from behind the glove box area. Like something was draining. Does this sound familiar? It doesn’t happen every time, but I have heard it several times. There isn’t anything leaking other than the leak from the dreaded head gasket issue. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated.

It does sould like you have a vacuum leak. If you look under the dash near the throttle pedal you'll see some vacuum hoses. With the engine running you might be able to hear if there is a leak there.
The gurgling noise could be due to low coolant. Have you checked the coolant level in the tank?

The gargling could either be coolant in the heatercore if the level is low, or the freon in the evaprator equilizing pressure if the a/c, vent/floor, floor.def or def have been on.

I always keep the setting at defrost. I haven't had the A/C on in months. If I get cold I just open the window and get fresh Alaskan air. lol So LxMan, are you saying that since I have been using the Def setting the evaprator is just equilizing pressure. I will check the coolant level. How full should the coolent reservoir be, the milky lookin container on the front right. Is that the main reservoir for the coolant or the secondary? Guess I should buy a Chiltons manual.
Regarding the vacuum leak, like MJEmerson asked, what should I be looking for?
Thanks for all the help...

Look for a vacuum hose that is unplugged, split etc.
If you listen close you can probably hear the leak if it has one.
