control trac questions

My 4x4 lights are flashing six times on my dash. My Control Trac is engaging the front wheels. I have changed the Transfer case fluid and it is still doing it. I want to remove the drive shaft speed sensors and clean them next, can some one tell me or show me via a picture where the sensors are located? What is the best way to clean them? Thanks
Thomas

Just a guess, but the flashing lights probably mean that you need to pull the trouble codes. See if Autozone will pull the trouble codes & go from there.

Autozone doesn't pull those type codes, they told me they only pull check engine light codes. I would need to run diagnostics to get the GEM codes....

I don't think its your sensors ,more than likely its the shift motor being stuck in 4hi . or the limit switches on the shift motor are dirty.

If you have a manual ,you need to remove the shift motor and clean the switches and the motor.

The sensors are mounted on the transfercase

Please describe your symptoms again

You flashing 4whi and 4wlo and its in 4wheel drive right now ?

What is your 4wh switch pos?

Did you chk the fuses for the 4wh system ?

did you chk all connections to the transfercase?
