help with new SUV

help with new SUV

I am looking at a 97 explorer with 73 thousand on it how long do you all think it will last. should it go 150 thousand. It is a veary nice SUV one onwer all the bells and wisels they are asking $6900 but I think I can get it for 6200 what do you all think

I think if it was maintained well and you maintain it well when you buy the suv it can and will go past 150,000+ miles. Ask the owner about how his maintance was, tranny flush, oil changes...stuff like that.

I have a '95 with almost 140k miles and my brother has my old '91 with about 200k miles. Neither has had any major engine, transmission, or 4wd work. No reason that a well maintained '97 won'tl go 150k miles or more.

it should definately go 150 but like jhromy said if the tranny wasn't taken care of that might be a problem. I bought my 97 at 75k back in june ($6,500) and its given me no problems at all so far.
