wheres the rubbing coming from???
Its not a ford,(unfortunatly) Its an 89' toyota 4x4. nice little truck, anyway Its making an awful rubbing sound which has him baffled and i cant quite tell what it is myself and is bugging me.
I am asking here as its the only place i visit on the net and im sure i will get a reply with some helpfull information/ideas.
Ok. First, it happens in 4x4 as well as 2 wheel drive, going straight usually, give it gas and let off usually stops it, until tonight it happend straight for about a minute, usually only for about 5seconds. Hard to tell where its coming from, the front end i can alomst guarantee. I was thinking cv joint, but im know thinking a tranny issue. The u-jointd in the front drive shaft seem fine, unless theyre binding?
And its not a tire rub 100% on that. Sounds alot like it tho.
Also, when its in 2 wheel (hubs locked) the front drive shaft turns while driving, and cant turn it by hand when in N. Should be able to right???
Thanks for taking the time to read this as its not a ford product, which i give him a hard time about everyday, haha. I might stop though as im not even allowed to have mine on the road.
Thanks guys.
