Do a search with key words "wiper delay", search forum... 1967-1972 Ford Trucks, 2-weeks and older. You'll need to click on drop down arrows and radio buttons.
Almost 10 years ago I bought an intermittent wiper delay control box for something like $15. It was a small grey box with a slider for the delay length. You spliced it in at the switch.
I did the aftermarket do-dad. It was cheap and just wired into the switch. Been like 12 yrs ago, think I still have it somewhere. Had it in other truck, that since has gone to F100 heaven.
I'm thinking someone like JC Whitneys would have just what you need.
Back in Nov. and Dec. I started a thread about this.
I got a lot of VERY helpful input.
Do a search as mentioned on "Wiper delay conversion" and you should find it in here.
What we are able to do is get a switch and delay box from a mid seventies through mid eighties (I used an '84).
They plug right into the existing plug on the harness. The only mod. needed is that the shaft on the newer switch is longer than the old one. Also the threaded portion on the switch for the dash nut is longer. You install a extra nut for a spacer behind the dash, and cut away aprox. 1/2" on the shaft to match the old switch, and grind a new flat spot on the new shaft for your set screw to hold the **** in place.
These switches and boxes can be found rather cheap at your local bone yard. I paid a whopping three dollars for mine. So, I bought spares since they were so cheap. It works Great!
One other thing to add, The window squirter wire was moved by ford in those later model switch plugs so you will be required to move the wire in the plug or splice it in order to get that to function.
I hope this helps you out.
