I have a 2000 F-250 Super Duty 7.3 Diesel short bed. I pull a 5th wheel and when making a R or L turn, the truck makes a rough sounding noise that seems to work off the wheels, because it comes and goes as the wheels rotate.
I first thought it was my 5th wheel causing it when pulling under load but I also noticed it without pulling anything, when I was going up a slight incline and making either a R or L turn.
Anyone heard of such a thing or know what might be happening?
i have a similar problem, it seems alot of the time when i crank the front wheels hard to the right i get a knocking noise coming from the front end, when i turn hard left there is nothing, i am also under no load, and the noise happens when i am at a very low speed, anyone with any ideas, i was thinking a bad u-joint.
4x4 sometimes make a clunk when turning, u joints binding= but the u joints are probably ok = cure don't turn the stearing wheel all the way or put a stop so it won't turn so much.
