How can I tell if I have a short, regular or long box on my 1988 F150 XLT Lariat 4 x 2, 302, AOD, 3.55 truck with tow package? The truck has the rear bench seat, and is two door (not four door). I am not sure how long each kind of box is supposed to be. It looks like regular or long, but I don't know how to tell.
Thanks,
Frank.
When they first started coming out back in the day.....
it seems they were simply called extended cab.
Now I keep hearing and seeing super cab.
I thought that was the 4 dour version but that is another
name.
Super Cab was the Ford trademarked name for an extended cab. I think it was Datsun that started it with the King Cab thirty years ago. Japanese trucks were reeeeally small back then. Crew cab is the generic name for the ones with four full doors.
