I was convinced my front rotors were warped from what I've read on here. But I hardly use my brakes. I prefer to downshift and use my engine as braking power, so the rotors don't really have time to heat up. But this is odd...
Cold Engine - Solid Brakes, Hard or soft braking
Warm Engine - Solid brakes when lightly applied, shaky when hard braking
Operating Temp - Very shaky when hard braking, slightly when soft
Now when I've had warped rotors before, they vibrated no matter what. This seems to be engine temp related?! So as the PS fluid warms up, braking gets worse? I have my ideas, but I want to hear what you guys think.
Normal driving the rotors always drag somewhat and heat up so if you warm up the truck in the driveway and then get in how are the brakes? When you are driving around and the engine is warming up so are the rotors...If you feel it in the pedal its gotta be the rotors.....I would think.. thats my best thought. Rears will warp bad also!
