I have a 95 F-250 4X4 manual transmission (don't know about the code) with 162,000 miles on it that has never been flushed. I've heard some people say that with a tranny that old, you're almost better leaving it be because the gunk that builds up in there holds everything together.
It runs fine as it is--shifts smoothly, no weird noises, etc. I mostly want to get this done as a preventive measure and wanted some expert opinions.
I drain mine -- it may or may not have a magnet you can pull and clean the shavings off of as well.
New transmission fluid is a pretty strong cleaner...it will free up crud if you have crud to be freed up. If the fluid you are replacing looks nasty you may want to due another change in a thousand miles or so to get all the freed up crud out.
