I heard that at some point ford went to a metric bolt pattern on the stering 10.5( and I would assume all axles) Does anybody know what year this happened. I found a 1993?? (burned)f350 with a sterling 10.5 rear axle 4:56/factory posi and rear disk brakes for $350.00. I just want to make sure the bolt pattern is the same as the dana 60 from a 1988 f350 I have will be the same.
1998 or 1999 I heard, for the eight lugbolt pattern. 1997 for the five bolt lugbolt pattern. I smacked into that during the single to dually modification on my F250.
Indeed, pre SuperDuty axles are 10.25", not 10.5, only real difference is the bolt pattern on the hub(there are metric 10.25's tho) and the ring gear itself
I found out that the truck is a 2001 f350. This would be the metric bolt pattern. I wonder if i could get flanges redilled to match the front dana 60 bolt pattern
You should be able to re-drill the hubs and rotors, or maybe just swap to older hubs and re-drill the rotors. At worst, you could just swap to the older drums...
