Wheel Spacer
Idiomatic, What's the thickness on that spacer? It looks thick. Spidertrax only goes, 1" and 1.25" thick for sammy and heeps.

Idiomaticman, for a wheel spacer 2.5" thick there is no way you can stick a 3" stud bolt in the hub and expect it to work. You must counter sink the lug bolt hole deep enough to use the original wheel studs and lug nuts to bolt the spacer to the axle or hub. Then you center another set of bolt holes between the original holes and drill them to accept stock wheel studs to be installed from the backside out,now you can safely bolt your wheel assembly to the spacer. You should go to precisionwheel.com and see what they use to build there spacers out of,good luck.

i was thinking this myself. anything over about 1" i should do this. i have been to precisionwheel and seen what they do. they use a high grade aluminium, anything else would be too hard to mill. high grade aluminium woudl be just fine if i were to just make a spacer plate. but to rely on the spacer to hold my wheel on, i wouldnt feel as safe. im sure it would be, also, i was thinking steel, but that has to be a bitch to mill out. i have a machine that i can use to mill amuminium, so i was hopeing to make them out of that.
as for zero backspacing, the wheels these would go behind are 15x9" with a 4" BS. so i dont think they would stick very far out at all, right now i have 35x12.5" and they stick out .5" in the front and actually sit flush in the back.
about that radius arm thing, send me a pick, and ill throw something together for you. will have to be made out of aluminium again....may be sketchy, or may be the coolest thing ever.

I just realized what F150 you have. A guy in the 4.2 thread is selling a brand new supercharger kit, he hasn't even installed it yet. He just got it delivered and is getting transfered (military) to another unit and can't bring his truck.
Just thought I'd let you know in case you might be interested.
Also, my 16X8's with 4" backspace mounted with 32X11.50's stick out like 3 inches from my front wheel well. My rears don't. But maybe the 7.5" lift with the lift spindles and all pushed it out some.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Yes I plan on wearing these SSR's out fast and tossing some 35X12.50 Mickey Thompson Claw's on. That will take me up another 1 1/2 inches and fill in some of that empty fender space.
Unfortunately, I purchased the tires first, not realizing that they would make me psyched about lifting it so much to go out and buy the kit so fast. My tires used to look to BIG for the truck, now they look tiny.
Let me know about the spacers, I might be interested in trying them. I only have a 4" backspace so I'd like to get them to stick out a little more.

dont know how to insert pics but there are pics of them at fullsize broncos in the for sale section under group buys
