Powder Coating
Okay guys, what's your opinion on powder coating.
Personally, I'm not impressed. Before I decided to do our frame myself, it was considered but then I found a reason not to.
We have some life-time hurricane shutters that we had powder coated. Although Hurricane Irene was mild, she still threw some things around. Well, something hit one of the shutters just enough to put a scratch on it (did not dent it). To date, we have been unable to find anyone to warranty or fix this scratch. Pay for it ourself? They either want to re-powder coat it or do touch-up "paint".
My opinion is I'll stick to paint - at least I have more options......
