Have you had the balance checked on the tires?

I hate to ask that, but I did not see that you had checked it.

Was this the rear driveshaft you replaced?

ok yes i did check tires and dont feel bad about askin either .. i know how stupid ppl can be ..
ok . yes it is rear shaft and ive replaced the yoke and took shaft to a good driveshaft man i know .. it was less then 10thousandth run out witch is better then most factory shafts .
ive spoken to soom ppl i work with and they told me to look at yoke on rear end and see if it may be loose .
the guy i got the truck from drove it this way for a while and may have shook it loose ..
no there is no carrier bearing . its a slip in yoke into the transfer case .
ive noticed that both the transfer case and rearend seals are leakin pretty bad so while i got it apart changin seals im gonna change yoke on rear . ty for your quick and informative responce . it is greatly appreciated .

Rod....sometimes a u-joint will be bad and its hard to tell. push on the thing real hard up and down.& side ways, must be in neutral where there's no strain or load on it. also u joints can pop or a snap like noise when shifting forward or reverse from stop. u may find alll those needles are worn and dry and maybe rusty. paul..

I have a similar problem that occurs around 70 - 75 mph. Have also replaced joints and had the d/s balanced. Tires/wheels have been ruled out.
I'm down to either the pinion flange or the tailshaft housing. I'm going to replace the tailshaft housing because there seems to be a good amount of play in it.
I've heard that the long single shaft drivelines will wear out the housing bearing especially when a vibration is present.

Will post results.
