I noticed my 5.4L shuts off at around 100mph is there anyway to take this speed limiter out? Also is there anyway to get that annoying seat belt light/bell to shut up?

I'm sure most chips would fix that. Ken, the guy who runs things around here, could help you out.

Put your seat belt on.

There is a ritual you can follow to shut off the seatbelt warning in the manual. I have never been able to get that to work.

But.. You can just press the seatbelt release button once everytime you start the engine. This will shut off the annoying alarms until you shut the engine off.

yes, the owners manual does tell you how to turn it off ( also auto door locks if you need to), and it works.

Well I think mine is limited at 93.

I found that out for the first time when trying to get past an 18-wheeler on a two-lane country road with on coming traffic

I dont drive my truck like I did my Mustang any more.

Its not that I want to go over 100mph without a seatbelt. The thing is, I don't want the truck I spent thousands of dollars on bossing me around.

Yeah, I noticed mine shut off around 95 mph. I don't usually do 90+ w/ my F250 but the chick who passed me in the new Maxima on RT 81 near Syracuse,NY was such a hottie we needed to catch her. Needless to say we never caught her. Some things are just not fair.
