Hard starting 93 5.ol
when i start engine warm or cold it cranks less than one sec before it fires, if the engine stays running it may or may not go to a high idle. if it does not start, the only way to start engine is to depress the accel pedal. what should i be chasing after?

Replace the IAC (Idle Air Control) It is on the throttlebody. It has 2 8mm headed bolts holding it on and has a 2 wire plug to it.
This is what controls the idle speed. Fast idle when cold, when the a/c is on, etc.
Over the years, they get gummed up and or the little motor goes bad in them.
