well around here in iowa you see a lot of old ford grain trucks from the late 60's to late 70's still in great shape and get used a lot most of them have the 361 or 391 in them and are still going strong, most of the farmers i work for have a couple old ford grain trucks, they seem to hold togather better than the chevy and GMC grain trucks do.
i know back home (wyoming) you cant drive past any farm without seeing an old farm truck have seen mostly fifties and sixties trucks all still rolling and haulin
Last summer I used my truck to haul my parent's 5400 lbs boat up to Big Bear(near sea level to 8000 feet) 175 miles round trip. It did it with no problem. Then shortly after, drove to Stanley, Idaho and back(2200 miles round trip) and no problems then either. 190k+ miles on the odo, course 40k+ on rebuilt motor and less than 3k on a new tranny.
Looking forward to the Hot Rod Power tour in a couple years with my truck and my wife's '72 Buick Skylark.
