Question Thermostat

I have a 1986 F-150 300. I have bored it .030 and the head was shaved .008. It also has a Crane Truck power cam and a Melling high volume oil pump. Does any one know weather I should go with the stock, 180, or 160 thermostat.

Thanks,
D.J.

STOCK!!!! 195 degrees is usually stock, but double check for your app. Don't use cooler stats. It causes more wear, more crud eventually, and the engine is less efficient at the cooler temps. MK

EFI engines are designed to run at certain temps. Don't put a cooler stat in. If cooling is a problem, go with an extra or better replacement fan.
