Go get the Dark Tower Series from Stephen King. Start at the beginning though... If you don't the last 3 books will be a complete mystery.

The Bible, is my personal favorite even though it's no longer on the Best-Seller's List. 
yeah, cuz it was pointless (they thought) to put it on there EVERY single year! hehehe.......but obtain a version thou canst acknowlege and shouldst be able to understand! 
(They DO make them in English these days, ya know)

"The Fountainhead" was a good read. My favorite all time was Moby Dick. Currently reading "The Spray".
Dune was good science fiction read.
