lariat package?

lariat package?

just curious what the lariat package means?
i have a xlt lariat so i figure i should at least know when people ask me lol

It is one of the trim levels on the Ford trucks. They have Custom, XL, XLT and XLT Lariat. The Lariat models in the earlier years usually have a nicer interior with carpet, more sound deadening materials, nicer door panels, electric locks and windows, A/C, door pockets, head liner ect... They are just the best they make of the model, there are many items on the Lariat that make it nicer than say a custom.

I have an XLT. When truck shopping, I noticed an XL. There was no headliner, just metal. My XLT has a headliner.

I have a 1991 f-150 xlt lariat Texas lariat edition and been unable to find out what the Texas lariat edition means or where to find out about it. My father had a custom that was stripped compared to a lariat ecition. Anyone have any idea how i can find out what the texas lariat edition means and what its for?
