I am thinking of installing a tilt column in my 67 4x4. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get one and how to go about installing one. I dont believe there were any factory ones. Any ideas?
I believe that the 67 is updateable to the 78-79 column, with a few wiring changes.
As far as I know 78-79 is the only time tilt was available in the 67-79 range. After 79 I do not think the columns are bolt ins.
Of course there is always the after-market route, if you have the money
The reason i don't post it is , the guy use to be on FTE and was kicked out so i figured they would delete my post. And this way i wouldnt make any enemies, i have enough , just ask my wife
try Jeffs Bronco Graveyard, broncograveyard.com, they sell a very nice aftermarket tilt colum, not cheap ($300 +), I have two of them and they are easy to install and look great.
Yes, 78 and 79 are the best swap years since they bolt straight in. They don't look quite correct without a little finesse on the plastic cover that buts to the dash though. Newer columns will bolt in but in 1980 they started putting the ignition switch on the column. this would require more rewiring.
Here's the diagram of my 67 to 79 with cruise swap: http://www.bumpsides.com/wiring.jpg

Is this the site that "trouble" was referring to?
Thanks.

I don't know, I did not see any reference to that website, If it was - my apoligies to every one. I have bought a lot of product from them and haven't had any problems. When it comes to aftermarket steering columns, there are few choices and these are nice units.
