Angry Locking Anti-lock Brakes

i HAVE A 2001 4X4 EXTENDED CAB RANGER.
During cold and wet weather the fron brakes seem to lock up.
Does anyone know the cause and or fix for this problem???

Welcome to Ford Truck Enthusiasts!

Ford brakes are kinda known for being a little finicky when they are first used in a wet climate. It happens especially in the morning, after moisture has had a chance to accumulate and the truck has been sitting for a while.

Not much of a fix, but when that happens, what I do is to make sure I use the brakes a couple of times before I actually go out into serious traffic. This allows the brakes to heat up and dry off a litle bit. Then they work fine for the rest of the day.

Thank's I have talked to other Ford pickup drivers and they have had the same problem.
You think that they would come up with a fix for this
My 1985 Mustang GT doesn't do this nor does my 96 Mk VIII.
Thanks for the input

I have a 98 ranger and in cold wet and snowy weather I ride my brakes about a block or so before I park it for the night.
