Build Date Question?
Paul 33,
I'm in the Rochester area, what is the name of the good dealer...always looking for good back-up.
Jim, I don't know if it is allowed to list a dealer or not. Since this is only my second post, I was not allowed to e-mail you. send me an E-mail and I'll give you the info.
As far as removal of the CAT, who cares if it voids the exhaust warrenty? The exhaust will last longer than 3y/36k anyways!
If performance is what your looking for, A 4" Exhaust and a chip or programmer are the answer. With the past experiance of Two 2000 7.3 PSD's, the 4"(Banks) exhaust made almost an unnoticeable difference in performance WITHOUT the Chip(+80hp-150#/ft)! BUT it made a HUGE differnce in EGTs. The same chip in the other 2000 7.3, with a 3.5(Banks) Exhaust, ran noticeably higher EGTs(still better than stock).
DO NOT RUN "HOP-UP" CHIPS AND PROGRAMMERS WITHOUT A 4" OR BETTER EXHAUST While pulling a Heavy Load. If you do, you won't for long............
I found the Engine Build date on the top of the Driver side valve cover, all the way to the rear.
Tried to send you an email via your profile...says you don't want to receive emails via this forum.
I have seen others use dealer names on the forum before without any chastising, so I'll ASSume there is no problem with it.
