paint plastic?
got an 03 screw (black)it's got cheapo looking gray plastic around back glass and bed rails.anybody know best way to paint black.years ago i used the good interior paint from body shop supply,but the sun just ate it up,thinking about that fushion paint by krylon,any input?

I used this stuff by "mar-hyde" BLACK SATIN Automotive Trim Coating. I got it from Mattos and it cost $8.01 a can. Its made for exterior plastic, aluminum and stainless. It still looks good after 10 months on the plastic mirrors on an Aerostar that get hammered from rain, sand, road salt, and the sun. Make sure you clean them good before applying the paint.

i have seen some stuff painted with the fusion and it looked good. if you do not want to use that stuff then take the parts. scuff them up, wipe with rubbing alcohol or equivelant, then get this stuff called paint adhesion promoter, then after that drys and you want the parts to be smooth use filler primer but you will have to put a few coats on and sand, remove dust from parts and paint them after painting clear coat it. i have also seen in a few magazines where they have smooth bed rail caps for the super crew and on those you just got to scuff, prime and paint.

thanks!i don't mind the texture,just the color against black truck.the fusion held up well on an atv, but it doesn't spend alot of time sitting in the sun and getting blasted with salt and sand on the highway.if it doesn't hold up, then i'll have a hell of a time cleaning the rest off.
