Hello, I have a problem with my 99.5 f250 and I'm hoping someone may beable to help me out. For the past year there has been an intermittent problem that now is happenning all the time. The truck will run in "limp" mode, and the check eng light comes on. It runs real rough and has no power, before It would usually go away after the truck sat for a little bit. now it wont go away at all. I first was getting a code for the icp pressure being low, but after adding oil and clearing the code it is gone. Now I have a code 1294, open circiut on left bank, and another for exhaust pressure. I less worried about the exh pressure, but maybe they're related. Basically, it looks like an IDM or the wiring. My question is are there any common problems that other people have found with the wiring on the left side of the motor for the injectors? From what I have read I will need to check all the wires (they should be about 5k ohms) and be sure that there are no problems with any individual wires. If no problems are found then it should be an IDM. Has anyone seen a problem like this before and is it safe to presume that it is the IDM after the wiring has been checked? could it be a PCM instead? I just would like to besure for obvious reason before changing it. Thanks for the help.
