My 96 is in the bodyshop being repaired and one of the guys said that they had just worked on a SVT Bronco. It got my curiosty up because I had never heard of one. Then I made the call to find out.
There has never been a production SVT bronco. I only know of one SVT bronco ever being "produced" from the factory. I used to have one of those desktop calenders that you tear a sheet off ever day. This one was automobile related. One of the days was a one-off SVT bronco (oj white) that was built for one of the higher up VPs (might have been the advertising division, but I cant recall at this point).
I think you're exactly right, Rich. If it didn't come off the assembly line, then it ain't production! I saw the white Bronco Lightning in question on a Car and Driver page-a-day calendar, too, some years ago. It was indeed made for a top exec at J. Walter Thompson, Ford's ad agency of record. I assume some SVT-type boys put it together, but don't believe SVT SERIOUSLY considered doing it anymore than the short-wheelbase T-Bird prototype that came out a few years before that.
Hey guys. I looked into this also a while back and came up with this. There was 1 black and 1 white lightning broncos. One guy here made a lightning bronco very close to the original 1994 black one. Any way I have never seen the white but I came across this link. Havent called the number but hey it seems like some guy is selling the white one. http://broncohut.com/_Trucks/000001c3.htm
As for the black one I found this slightly old thread. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...5252Blightning
and the guy with the made up copy has his website here. http://randell.no-ip.com/
The black factory one had basically stock XLT interior with the exception of the light 120 mph speedometer. The outside had true dual split rear exhaust with tubular headers. The 4*4 was gone and in went the 2 wheel drive and they had the top painted gloss black and 17 inch stock 94 lightning rims and tires. A front chin spoiler with fog lights was also added as well as a 351 HO engine. Altogether it put out 240 horses not that impressive. I am basically putting that out and then some with a exhaust and intake. Lets see if any one can come up with anything else.

Ya, I have a 69 Mach 1 in my garage my uncle owned back in the day, Well not the whole car just the 2 pony badges from the fenders He wrecked that bad boy, those were on only things left after the crash ....
Back from the dead! The White Lightning Bronco was featured in the Car and Driver March 1994 Issue. Can anyone find and scan the article? I would be interested in seeing this again.
