You don't say what your truck is - there are some differences between the 94-97 and 99 & up trucks.

General things to check:

Since the problem started with the Predator, I would begin by uninstalling the program to see if the truck runs without it. If it does, there is your problem, either with the way it was set at install or the Predator itself is bad. If not, here are a few other things to check:

Check #22 fuse under the hood - if it is blown replace and try again. If it blows again the problem is most likely a shorted fuel heater in the fuel bowl. You can just unplug the fuel heater lead on the fuel bowl, replace the fuse again and run without the heater until you can get it fixed. While you are there with a test light I would check all fuses as well.

Check the oil level in the crankcase - I worked on one a coule weeks back that had bad injector O rings that sucked 8 qts of oul out of the crankcase in 200 miles. Topped oil off and it started fine. Still had the O ring problem though.

Check for oil in the high pressure oil reservoir, located on top of the engine at the front (behind the belt and all). Remove small fill plug on top to see how much oil is there. This feeds the high pressure oil system that fires the injectors.

Check to see if your tachometer registers any RPM while cranking. If not, that indicates a bad cam position sensor.

Hope this gets you started - good luck, if I think of anything else I will post here.

General principles are the same, there are some differences (location and design of glow plug relay, addition of an intake heater and relay to control it, style of fuel filter and so on).

Did you have any luck?

Wormslinger, when you were cranking in no start situation was there white smoke? Did the truck smoke when it finally started? If so, you may want to check out your glow plug system and the intake heater (if your truck is so equipped).

At first few tries there wasnt very much white smoke at all. Thats why i changed the filter, i thought it might not be getting enough fuel. The day before i ran the tank real low on fuel and the fuel light came on. I went ahead and put in garage till morning. It got to probly a little below freezing before morning. I thaought that might be why the filter might have gotten some wax in the filter.

Well i have other issues besides the filter. I will go over the check list you posted and see if their is a blown fuse. If it is a blown fuse it wouldnt start after i pluged the block heater would it. When i plug the block heater in it will start in about a hour. Where is the intake heater located?thanks Dennis

The trouble code i am getting is P0603 Power control Modual Keep alive memory (KAM). The last time i had this code it took 10 days for the dealer to fix and they had to replace the computer. Have any other people had problems with the Preditor? Thanks Dennis
