Holy cow Tom... I grew up in Garden City... where exactly are you?

What's your sister's name? I'm a mailman... probably know exactly where she lives.

Hehe.. I'm down here by Elkhart Swann. . My sister and brother in law are Buddy and Lisa Henley. Don't know their address, since they have moved since i've been up there. He works for El Paso natural Gas and she does real estate and insurance. Do you know them?

Thanks, and well met to you! If I get up that way, i'll look you up. Actually, i've pondered a company move up there sometime. I'm employed with Anadarko Petroleum Co. but they recently bought UPR who were substantial in Wyoming. Our company is now the largest mineral owner in Wyoming. My wife also has a sister over in the Bighorns North of Sheridan. Last time I was up that way was on Thanksgiving, en route to Alaska.

Cool! Yeah be sure to holler if ya want to meet up on your next trip through. We'll do some shootin' or wheelin' or drinkin'... or all of the above!

I'm pretty happy with our move, I was really fed up with Garden City, even though I still generally like SW Kansas. Wyoming is a little more desolate though... the least populated state in the union, and the ninth largest!

Now Alaska... that would be a real trip!

OH man! It was the trip of a lifetime! We drove up and went into Canada and then across canada and through the Yukon to Fairbanks. I was driving 97 4x4 powerstroke pulling a 28 foot trailer with freight and my airboat. I sold the boat up there and ended up driving across 1500 miles of snow packed road to get there. there are pics at http://groups.msn.com/fairbanksfriends/pictures?Page=2 scroll down to where it says "Driving the Alcan Highway" and you'll see them. Alaska gets in your soul, and you spend all your time trying to figure out how to get back there. I left the diesel up there and as soon as they thaw out, my buddy will sell it for me. check out my pics!

Wow, nice pics. Lots of wilderness and bitter cold up there... I can only imagine. Maybe someday...

The hot springs reminds me of Thermopolis here in WY... my favorite winter getaway.

Nice to see the Powerstroke making the grueling trek... long live the Fords!

hehe.. Yep! That truck has 180,000 on it and drove from here to there and never missed a beat. I'd not be afraid to go back and drive it home with only an oil change before hand. Very, Very, VERY reliable trucks.
