I recently bought a 2001 f250 SD with what I beleive is a factory keyless entry/alarm/starter. I do not have any kind of manual to go with it, and have been all over the web trying to find info on how to operate it. It is an Auto Mate/DEI, and the ID is EZSDEI476.
I don't know how to use the auto start, and would like to disable the panic alarm feature.
If any of you have this remote, I would gladly pay for the copying and mailing of a manual. Or, if you know how to get a manual without having to buy a new remote, I would do that, too.
I don't want to sound ungrateful for your help, but I could not locate anything for my remote on the link you gave me. It looked more like a product marketing page than a product info page. I looked under "owner's guides", and they had nothing for my model.
I'm sorry. I found it useful for the diagrams and user guides. I thought it might be helpful to find your specific alarm. I did a search under my brand of alarm for my model # and found what I needed. I'm all out of ideas at this point unless it actually uses the same program sequence that Ford uses to program them. That info can be found in your owner's manual. Good luck in finding what you need and again, sorry I couldn't help.
Thanks, Jason. I'm still working on it, and your original link did wind up putting me in touch with the mfg, so we'll see if they reply to my cry for help!
That panic alarm button has been activated twice by mistake, and it drives me nuts. Once, I was getting change out of my pocket and accidently brushed against it....whoooop....whoooop....whoooop....
Buckmeister2, if you haven't reprogrammed your remotes yet, you will find the correct procedures in the Owners Manual of the year of your vehiclein question. I own a '00 PSD and reprogrammed 4 remotes as the manual suggests (up to 4 may be programmed). Good luck.
By the way , I will look for may book and give you the info here, see ya.
