What is everyone using? I know thats a loaded

The series 40 seems popular with the V10 crowd and the 70 is a good choice for improved flow without the added expense of excess noise.
I have not heard Magnaflows yet.
Best price (well only looked at two site
) for the Flowmasters was at Summit.Still researching the Magnaflows but will do that with my feet and not my fingers since they are sold in a number of auto part stores in my area.
Good luck & let us know what you got! Make a sound clip if you can.
I should also add that more than a few are just straight-piping it. Not a bad idea. Especially if you can easily find & get a muffler to go with if the straight pipe didn't give you sound characteristics/level you were looking for.

Saw a V10 superduty at the truck show that was running dual 3" straight pipes with supertrapps on the ends. Those are the mufflers with the removable disks that determine how loud the mufflers will be. The more disks you remove the louder they are.

Unless the Supertrapp mufflers have changed they are actually louder and theoretically flow better by adding discs. The disc at the very end is solid so the exhast has to escape between the discs. So the more discs, the more area for the exhast to escape.
I had a Supertrapp header and muffler on a 4cyl.1100cc. motorcycle over ten years ago and started out with 7 discs and went as high as 15 discs and then with nothing at the end at all (open header) and it never did run as well as it did with the 4 into 2 with a crossover pipe factory exhaust.I put the factory exhaust back on.
Although it may do well on a Super Duty.
Based on my experience with a Banks system on my 96,460,I'm going with them if and when I decide to do the 02.It aint cheap though:-X23 .

Your absolutly right! I had it backwards!
It was very loud... but had that ricer sound to it.
I prefer my borla headers, hi-flow cat and borla catback combo! :-)
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Can I get just a Banks or Borla exhaust canister, oops! motorcycle term, muffler or must I buy their entire cat-back system?
I think that they will sell you any part of a Banks Kit, because I just bought the Headers/Y-pipe only or "torque tubes" as Banks calls them.
It seems that many V10ers are looking for a way to make the exhaust sound good, add performance, and not be too noisy.
Check out my post from today on the Excusion forum "Banks Headers", where I talk about the various Magnaflow & Flowmaster combos that I've tried!
I don't have a sound clip, but would post one if someone gives me some info on how to do this...
