X mirrors on my SD
Friends,
Leaving aside the jokes about putting anything X on my SD, I need some help. Friday night some jaga$$ drove past my truck and intentionally smashed off my driverside mirror. I wonder if I can put a set of X mirrors with the defrost on my truck. I realize I may need (well, WILL need) a switch for the defrost. I am not an electrical engineer nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night. Can anyone shed some light on this for me, please.
Otherwise will the mirrors work? I mean is the harness close enough so the power operation will work even if the defrost doesn't?

I saw that post a little bit ago but I didn't read on because it started out talking about the extendable mirrors. It did morph into just the answer I was looking for upon further review. I guess I can put them on and may have to get an adapter or do some minor soldering. No biggie. I didn't see any answer to the poster's question about wiring up a switch for defrost on the mirrors. I will do some 'searching' in the forum and post here if anyone is interested.
