shorted wires

shorted wires
The harness that feeds the tail lights shorted out. I'm in the process of splicing new wires. So far it is defeating me. The tail light has three wires; green, black and brown. Which is the;signal, brake, running. Also the The bulb has two filimwnts, ashort one and a long one. What lights what.

The black should be ground, if someone else can't help use a test light to determine which is which.
