Just wondering if anyone actually makes them. Since the 2.9 heads seem to be a favorite for cracking I thought possibly someone had come up with a fix for these.
Havent had this bronco 2 very long so I just thought of something. Maybe the heads are made of iron. Thought they were aluminum. Either way what is the cause of the heads cracking so much. Is it possibly caused from a cooling system that is not adequet?
far as i know the heads on a 2.9 or a cast aluminum .. not a true aluminum .. and the world heads that wolffpax said about are worth the money .. alot of people knock the 2.9 for various reasons but the heads are a major downfall .. if you ever worked a set of stock 2.9 heads youll tend to find out theyll crack faster ..i found out the hard way .. sosave some pennies up get a set of good ones
What actually makes these heads better? Are they made of some different kind of material? There has to be a reason these heads crack alot I am just wondering what the cause is.
According to the company they redesigned & strenthened the thin areas prone to cracking. I compared my old heads with new ones & you could see more metal in places prone to cracking, also they weighed more.
