Hi. I have a 2000 Ford Explore XLT SOHC V6. When the vehicle is
in park or when I have the brake on it idles. It sounds like it
might die but it never does. The IAC has been replaced. Please
HELP! Thanks.
Does this happen at any time or only until fully warmed up? If only when cold, sounds like the lower intake gasket problem alot of us Explorer owners are experiencing. Also, do you get a CEL?
The CEL does not come on but it does rev up when it's cold.
Do you think that the lower intake gasket problem would also
cause it to idle rough? Also, is this something I can fix easily or
will I need to put it in the shop? Thanks!
I've noticed some weird things on my explorer. Found out only reason it takes so freaking long to warm up when -4 degrees outside and starting cold is because i am running Mobil 1 full synthetic. I usually put the car in park and step on the gas and rev it a few times.
