steering column wiring

Hello-

I have a 66 f100 and had to put in a 68 steering column. The wiring harness didn't fit together so I had to cut the wires. Does anyone know the wire colors for the turn signals and horn for the 68 steering column. I've been fighting with them for a while now and have got frustrated.

Thanks for any help.

WELCOME to FTE.COM

I know the horn is always the blue wire with YELLOW tracer. That is pretty common.

You may find that the rest of the wires dont all match either. The 67-72 trucks had different turn signal wiring between these years so you may find that they dont work right.

Thanks for the reply. I had them working at one time and when I bought my power steering unit I had to take out the column and like a dummy I didn't mark the wires.

Thanks

I know someone here will have the wiring diagram. Seems there is always someone that posts the good stuff like that.

Ok, they are all loaded. Just click on the link below my user name on the left. You should see the album with nothing but '68 wiring diagrams. I have viewed, downloaded and printed pictures from there before. Let me know if you need more details, i.e. can't see something specific. Good luck!
