My 390 starts great in the morning, and when hot and only having been shut off a few minuits.
If I let it sit after running for 15 minuits or more it's a real pain in the butt to start.
It is not heat soak on the starter, the starter is fine, I think it's boiling the gas off in the carb, and maybe in the line that feeds the carb...
What have you guys rig'd up to aliviate the problem?
My setup is a basic fresh 390 with stock 2bbl and manifold, flexabile feed line to the carb, still running points.
I've heard that putting an electric pump on will help fix, but, if they didn't use an electric pump in '69, there has got to be a way to 'fix' the problem and keep the mechanical pump... ?
