I don't know about some of you folks out there, but my lower back hurts from driving my 2002 F-250 4x4 6sp. I think it's related to the fact that I need to depress the clutch, but it also is related to the relatively hard seat cushions and stiff ride. Any ideas as to what will help my poor back? Any aftermarket seats that would be better? Commercial drivers seats?
I "felt" the same way when I got my SD a year ago. It took a little while (couple of months?) for the seat to brake in. Now I couldn't be more comfortable. I recently did a 1200 mile round towing trip. Even with some nasty PA highways I was comfortable as can be.
If you can find or make a pedestal for it you could try a routemaster seat. They are a little large to put in a regular cab. I have one in my bus and its very comfterble. Or just upgrage and get a better ford seat that bolts right in. Might as well go all the way and get the electric driver seat.
my superduty has great comfortable seats to me. course i like stiff seats. i know that my 02 has different seats then our 2000. what year did they change them? is there more then one style?
They changed the seats in 2002 so seatbelts are a part of the seat assembly. As for the electric seats, are they more comfortable than the manual? or do they just have lumbar support?
