Just got our first big snow here in columbus Oh and I love it. My bronco and I have been itching for this all year. Hope all of your are having as much fun as I am. Off to do a few more donuts. Later.
Watch out for other people, even if you know how to drive in the snow, many other people dont. Those are my reflections on driving in snow after some recent events here.
Just remember, 4WD gets you going in the snow...doesn't do squat when you need to stop. Pulled more than one guy out of the ditch that did not understand this fundamental rule.
P.S. If you are gonna get crazy in a vacant lot, just make sure you know what is UNDER the snow. Friend of mine got a little too big for his britches...know what happens when you are doing donuts in a parking lot at about 40 and find a parking curb? While they were loading his rig onto the flatbed (and the cop was writing the ticket) we manhandled his rear axle, spring shrapnel, and what was left of his driveshaft into my truck....OUCH!
I live in Vegas but I am in Northern Utah all the time and I hate the snow! Too cold and so hard on the truck. 4 wheeling in the mountains or in the sand dunes out here is so much more fun than the boring snow.
I have to disagree, I would way rather be in the snow rather than the mountains, but sand..... Yeah sand is good!! And it is hard on your truck, but you have to know what to do when you are done, servicing wise!
yea i was out today i was driving through fields out here in the farmlands got stuck but i just put it in 4wd then and went to some nice size ditches other than my truck shutting off while doing this it was fun
I just picked my bronco up this weekend after several heavy snowstorms last week, all I can say is pure fun Sure makes it a lot easier to find a parking spot in my overcrowded college parking lot.
Well I will admit that the main reason I don't like the snow is because I was messing around too much and slid right off the road into an irrigation cannal and my nose was all the way in and the back tires were just in the air spinning. messed up my front bumber and tore off my Bronco emblem. Also when you get stuck like that in the snow it is freezing out and I don't want to even get out of the truck to dig! Just my opinion.
Taking my black hole up to the snow and purposly getting stuck and then trying to get unstuck all part of the fun. Two weeks ago I went up to the Winter Fun Fest up in the Seiras of Lake Tahoe for three days. Nothing but two to four feet of snow and a whole lot of fun. And it wasn't that cold at all. Wasn't boring at all.
Man, you guys are making me feel bad. Can someyone send a truck load of snow my way? Sand is cool, but it gets old fast, and snow is a hell of alot easier than washing sand out of every little corner of a bronco.
I want snow!!!
