Lightbulb Fordtoberfest ideas

Looking for ideas for this years Fordtoberfest, please answer the questions, and add your comments.

questions...

1. should we have it at the same park?
or maybe a Dealership or parking lot?
please note if we have it at the local dealer, we can get better sponsorship i.e. more stuff!

2. what would everyone think about participant judging?

3. entry fee? if we charged a modest fee would you come?

4. length of show, last year we went from 10am to 5pm
too long? too short?

5. door prizes...was last years door prizes ok?

6. awards...I would definetly like to give out many more awards this year, last year we gave out 35, but this year I would like to give out more.

7. events...any ideas on events or if you guys approve participant voting you may not have time for any events.

8. help...last year Jon, Tim and I handled the show, but since Tim passed away we will be needing more help, mostly in the form of rustling up sponsors and door prizes, and of course helping the day of the show.

thats all I can think of for right now, but please add your input so we can make this year even better!
Thanks

1. I think we should have it a dealership. The restroom thing was a big issue last yr. I admit though the park was a nice setting!!!
2. I think that participant judging will be better. You guys were way too busy last yr. You might think about 3 persons elected to go around and select the Best of show winner.
3. I think that the quality of show you had last yr. was good enough to charge more. I would pay $15 - $20 for the entry. And I am a tite wad!!
4. Too long but that happens some time. With participant judginging, you could get it over with a little sooner.
5. No complaints here on the door prizes!!

I can definitely help out more. My wife and I had a great time last yr.

I think things went well last year for the most part.

1. Dealers lot would be nice
2. Maybe a 3 or 4 panel judge group for most things and have voteing by everyone for best of show.
3. Time wasn't to bad but maybe the prize and awards a little earlier that way the ones that need to travel can get away and the ones that can hang around can stay.
4. I will be willing to help in anyway I can

Steve,

All we need are the trucks to show up!

last year we had three rangers, I know we can do better than that! And yes we even gave away trophies/plaques to a couple of ranger guys, so we WANT rangers, explorers, F150 F250 F350 you name it! ANY Ford truck or SUV is welcome!

Well I am planning on atending this year. I would like to show up for meets and shows this summer. Last year all I did was work no with every fri-sun off I tend to have a lot of free time. That is when one of my 5 kids doesnt have some sort of practice or B-Day party to go to.

Steve,
that wasnt meant as a dig, I know Mark gives you a bad time about not showing up for meets, but hey its no big deal, I know you got a big family, and family comes first!

All Im really trying to say is Rangers are more than welcome at our show, the more the merrier! If you can make it that would be great, But I wont give you any crap if you dont show up!

Don't worry I wan't taking it personally. Mark does give me a lot of crap but if he didnt I wouldn't think I was loved.......

If you didn't give me crap for not showing up I would be hurt. Especially after I said I planned on coming.

I really liked the way things went. I would fork over for modest entry fee. The restroom thing does need to be addressed.
I really would like to see a traveling trophy in Tim`s name.

The main help we need is Sponsors!!!

The more sponsors we have...the more goodies we can give away!

It would be nice if we could get some help rounding up small items for the goodie bags too!
